The 5 Sections of the TEP
Reading Comprehension
In the Reading Comprehension section, there are several texts to read, each with its own set of questions. Questions may focus on vocabulary application, making inferences, and/or deciphering mood/tone, etc.

This section has a total of 16 questions.
Synonyms
In the Synonyms section, you will be given sentences with one word underlined in the sentence. Choose the word that most nearly is a synonym for the underlined word, while still matching the context of the sentence.

Grammar & Usage
In the Grammar & Usage section, your familiarity with idiomatic expressions and grammatical properties of written English will be tested. Half the questions focus on idioms and half on written English.

Sentence Completion
In the Sentence Completion section, your ability to recognize words and phrases to complete the meaning of a partial sentence will be tested. Choose the word or words that best complete the sentence as a whole, keeping in mind logic and style.

Antonyms
In the Antonyms section, you will be given sentences with one word underlined in the sentence. Choose the word that most nearly is the opposite of the underlined word.
