This prep course will prepare students to take the Test of English Proficiency (TEP)—passing this exam is a requirement before applying to sit for the Board for the Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) exam. This course focuses on the five sections of the test: Reading Comprehension; Synonyms; Grammar and Usage; Sentence Completion; and Antonyms. Participants will examine the testing process, engage in interactive activities, complete practice pieces and a full-length practice exam, and learn testing tips and strategies to prepare for the TEP exam. Participants will also have weekly homework assignments out of the required text, other optional homework activities, and access to roots quizzes they can take on their own.
